This show comes at you an extra week late which means an extra helping of news. Great that we have something to talk about that's coming up with hobby since it's been so slow recently. We also have a small chunk of 'what we've been doing' since it's been a while which mostly involves me playing Blood Bowl and getting ready for Adepticon. New's and Rumors kicks off a lot of upcoming stuff. Avatar of War has a new model out, Mantic Games is getting out their Orc line along with a 2 player game I presume which is their version of Warhammer Quest. Fantasy Flight releases a expansion pack for Chaos in The Old World board game. 'Ard Boy'z tournament dates, store locations and preliminary scenario's are released!

We also discuss some Forge World models that are to be available at Adepticon which leads us into a quick overview of the list of Vendors who will be present at Adepticon this year. Finally we wrap up the segment with discussion of two Indy GT's coming up in the near future, Midwest Rampage and Invasion Kenosha III. For our feature segment Chuck takes a lot of notes from a thread he stasrted on Da-Warpath O&G forums and discusses some community thoughts for Q&A's and things that people feel are and are not good from the 8th edition Army Book. Also I should say that in an effort to have this show posted only a week late instead of a week+ we forgoe pretty much all the usual editing from the show so there are some definite spots you'll hit that sound sloppy. Warhammer 40K RTT Early Registration Prize

It is now time to announce the early registration prize for the Warhammer 40K RTT Tournament at Invasion Kenosha III. One lucky winner will receive a very cool Eldar Hornet from Forgeworld. To be eligible for this prize, you must be fully registered for the 40K RTT tournament by April 30th, 2011. The winner of the prize will be chosen at random from all participants who fully registered on or before April 30th, 2011 for the 40K RTT tournament. The actual winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the tournament.

Update: Warhammer Forge Units

It took longer than I expected, but finally someone has asked the question of whether or not Invasion will allow Warhammer Forge units. The short answer is yes as a long as they meet the composition requirements of the tournament. The long answer is that my decision is based on the current playtest rules posted on the Forgeworld site. Assuming the new book is released before Invasion, the final version of the rules in the book will be used and not the playtest version. This means anyone wishing to play with the new units must bring a copy of the current rules. If anyone needs further clarification, please email me at equinox999equinox@yahoo.com.

Update (04/13/2011): Any units using Warhammer Forge rules must be represented by the actual Warhammer Forge models/conversion bitz. (i.e. If someone wants to use Sayl the Faithless and Nightmaw the Spawn, they must use the models from Warhammer Forge. Those models can be converted, but any conversion must clearly use the original model.)

We start off the show thanking our sponsors and all those who joined us for our 1st life recording before moving on to our 'What's been up segment' where we discuss some games we've had lately. We talk a bit about the painting contest on our forums that we've been doing for a couple weeks now. For our News/Rumors we discuss yet another new Avatar of War Dwarf character. A fair chunk of Black Library news as far as new books, ebooks and a number of audio books being made available through them. We also throw out the info for a Raffle being held at Adepticon by Battlefoam which if your going you will probably be interested in.

Our main feature doesn't really exist this time as such. We have no real specific topic that we discuss, but we answer some questions from the live chat room at the time of recording as well as take a couple of phone calls.

News: Waaagh Aerie

On March 12th, 2011, Waaagh Aerie is happening in Bloomington, Illinois. Crew from Invasion Kenosha will be in attendance and playing in what looks to be a great tournament.
