Official Sponsor: Rites of War

Invasion Kenosha is proud to welcome Rites of War as an official sponsor for 2010. If you are looking for a friendly forum that hosts some outstanding contests, Rites of War is the site for you. In addition to becoming a sponsor of Invasion Kenosha II, Rites of War has become the official forum for the event. Starting today, RoW will be hosting a forum dedicated to Invasion Kenosha II. This forum will provide participants with a place to share their thoughts and start their own discussions about the event.

Be sure to head there today and participate in an exclusive poll only open to members of the forum.

Sponsor the Invasion

Does your business manufacture a product that can be used by players? Does your club support the hobby and wish to recruit more members? Would you like to get the word out on what your site, product, or convention can offer the typical hobbyist? Invasion Kenosha II is looking for sponsors to support the 2010 event. Along these lines, we are offering three levels of sponsorship to allow interested parties of various sizes to support the event.

Noble Sponsor

A noble sponsor provides a single raffle prize with a MSRP value of $50.00 or less. Examples would be a set of 10 resin bases, a gift certificate for services, or a WFB appropriate model. In exchange for sponsoring the event, the sponsor will receive the following:
1. A link with your company’s logo/image will be added to the Invasion Kenosha II website along the right hand navigation.
2. Your company’s name and contact information will be included in the sponsor section of each attendee’s tournament binder.
3. Your company will be given a plug during the awards ceremony.

A Heroic Sponsor

A heroic sponsor provides support in the form of a single or multiple prizes with a combined MSRP value greater than $50.00.
In exchange for sponsoring the event, a heroic sponsor will receive the following:
1. A link with your company’s logo/image will be added to the Invasion Kenosha II website along the right hand navigation.
2. Your company’s name and contact information will be included in the sponsor section of each attendee’s tournament binder.
3. Your company will be given a plug during the awards ceremony. In addition, your company has the option of having your prizes associated with a specific award (like overall or best appearance).
4. Your company will have the option of being interviewed and having the article posted on the Invasion Kenosha website.
5. Your company will have its logo/image and contact information on the slide show that will play throughout the tournament.

A Champion Sponsor

A champion sponsor provides the highest level of support for the event. To be a champion sponsor, a sponsor must provide support in the form of samples or prizes for the swag bags (28 bags in total) that will be handed out to each participant during check-in. A champion level sponsor will receive the following perks in exchange for the support:
1. A link with your company’s logo/image will be added to the Invasion Kenosha II website that appears immediately below the Invasion Kenosha logo (invasionkenosha.blogspot.com).
2. A full page advertisement of your business will be included within each tournament binder.
3. Your company’s name and contact information will be included in the sponsor section of each attendee’s tournament binder.
4. Your company will be given a plug during the awards ceremony.
5. Your company will have its logo/image placed on one rounds scenario sheets. At the start of that round, your company will be plugged as the sponsor of that round.
6. Your company will have the option of being interviewed and having the article posted on the Invasion Kenosha website.
7. Your company will have its logo/image and contact information on the slide show that will play throughout the tournament.
8. Your company will have its logo/image included on the mailers that will be sent to registered participants.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact John Gaszak at equinox999equinox@yahoo.com or call me (708)466-6768.

Note to Retailers: Due to the sponsorship being provided by Rockhead’s in the form of space, we cannot accept sponsorship from online or B&M retailers. If you are not certain whether your business or organization falls into this category, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss. Also, if none of the sponsor programs fit your needs, please feel free to contact us to explore different options.

Official Sponsor: Maow Miniatures

Invasion Kenosha is very proud to announce that Maow Miniatures has become an official sponsor of the event. For those not familiar with Maow Miniatures, they produce their own line of cool miniatures and gaming related products. My personal favorite from Maow's line of products is their Monsterbottles brand.

As we head towards Invasion Kenosha II, I will be sitting down with Maow Miniatures to find out what inspired them to create Monsterbottles. I will also be finding out what may be on the horizon for them in terms of new products. Finally, I will be hopefully posting my own tutorial on how I painted up one of their Monsterbottles.

Invasion Kenosha Terrain Contest

Something new in 2010 is the Invasion Kenosha Terrain Contest. Getting enough terrain for an event can be a challenge. More so, getting enough terrain that fits a certain theme can be an epic undertaking. Along these lines, this contest is intended to help with future events while rewarding participants.

The Theme
The theme for this year is the Southlands. Terrain should reflect someting that would be found in the southlands. What that means exactly will be left up to the individual hobbyist, but I would suggest consulting the fluff.

The Rules
1. Each terrain piece must cover at least 9 square inches.
2. Terrain must be appropriate to the Warhammer Fantasy world.
3. Terrain must be painted in a pleasing fashion.
4. Each participant is allowed to enter up to three pieces of terrain.
5. All terrain that is entered becomes the property of Invasion Kenosha and John Gaszak and will be used for future Invasions.
6. The judge has final say on whether or not to accept any given piece of terrain.

The Rewards
1. Each participant who participates in the contest will earn one additional raffle ticket. (Please note, one per participant, not one per entry.)
2. Each participant will have their name appear on the website under the terrain supporters.
3. Each participant will have their name added to the 2010 terrain plaque which will be displayed each year at Invasion.
4. One piece of terrain will be selected by the judge and receive an award.

Event Requirement: Mystic

As part of the Invasion II, each participant is required to bring a single model that represents a mystic for their particular army. For the purpose of the narrative, a mystic is not a spellcaster, but someone who is naturally attuned to the universe. What this means is that participants can be creative with their mystic models.

The Mystic Rules
1. The model must be mounted on a 20mm or 25mm base.
2. The model must match the appearance of the army (i.e. no using a lizardman for a dark elf army).
3. The model must be painted. No exceptions.
4. The model does not count as any unit in the army's respective book. Rules for the use of the mystic will be provided on the day of the event.
5. The mystic must clearly be modeled to easily identify it as the mystic. This does not mean that an elaborate conversion must be made, simply that someone cannot state that the chaos warrior with the extra static grass is the mystic.
6. When it comes to a player’s appearance score, the model will be judged based on the criteria of whether or not upon first glance, does it stand out as the mystic.
7. When it comes to winning the Best Mystic Model, I will be selecting the model I like the most from those that meet the requirements of 1-6. Winning or losing the Best Mystic award has no impact on a player’s tournament score

The Reward
There are two rewards for making sure to bring a mystic. First, the model will be factored into each players' painting score. Second, the best model, as selected by the judge, will receive a cool prize and award.

Please feel free to post any questions or comments.
